dining room demo

We bought the house knowing that the dining room was a bit drafty, but the previous owners did nothing more than fill a gap between the baseboard and the wall with a rag.. so Lane rolled up his sleeves and tore down the lathe and plaster on the exterior wall in the dining room (yes, after I had painted..). His plan was to insulate and drywall in hopes of adding to the insulation of the new windows in that room. -eventually, he wants to do this to all of the exterior walls.

a special thank you to all of Lane's helpers while I was away at school.
Next step, new windows, a fresh coat of paint on the wall and on the built in cabinet, and we are done with the dining room!

The wall is completed- the trim has been returned to its home and the paint has been retouched. Other than new windows... (and maybe, possibly, a new dining room table) the dining room is complete!
