our first installation.

This past fall we thought that a ceiling fan in our foyer would help circulate the warm air from the wood stove in the living room to the rest of the house. Needless to say, this was a big undertaking. First of all, we had never installed a ceiling fan and secondly, the majority of our house's electrical wires are original!
Lane got to work - and one quick run to Home Depot later - we were ready!
We had a difficult time following the manual because it explained the process as if we had a house newer than 1920. My genius fiance was still able to figure it out. Luckily his first guess on which wires to connect was the right one..

TADA! This was one of our greatest investments, it really did help move some of our scorching hot air to our ice box upstairs all winter.
